About us

Hi There,

Welcome to Araliya Collective! For you non-Sri Lankans you might be wondering what an Araliya is, so please allow me to share.

The frangipani, my favourite flower, is known as the araliya in Sinhala. Growing up in Sri Lanka, as a young child I would constantly be running around picking the blooms that had fallen on our school driveway admiring its delicacy and lush tropical fragrance. I later learnt that the plant has ability to withstand extreme conditions.

When developing the idea of Araliya Collective, I was inspired amazing people, who like the araliya, stayed serene and beautiful and spread positivity while also having the inner strength to face life’s challenges.

This platform has been created for stylish people to gain access to small, independent brands while giving back to communities.

We support an amazing NGO from Mumbai caaled the Jai Vakeel Foundation. Our pouches and gift bags are created for us by intellectually-disabled students of their school. Over there, the students not only receive and education, but employment as well.

You may learn more about them here https://jaivakeel.org/skills-development

I hope you discover something you love.
